My first Power Tour
I’d wanted to do Power Tour since I was 16. In 2026, at 45, with my son and daughter growing up fast, I knew I couldn’t wait any longer.
The start line was over 1,500 miles from home. My car was a ’71 Buick GS clone, LS-swapped and rebuilt in a few months, my first full build, with no A/C. Honestly, I didn’t think it would make it from Fort Lauderdale to Stuart.
All I had was a Platinum ticket and a credit card for gas. We made it: 3,600+ miles door to door, 10+ days on the road, with nothing but a bottle of coolant and two zip ties. My kids had the time of their lives.
Long Haul Nation started on that trip. Now it’s 25,000 people who drive their cars, not trailer them.
